I'm hoping someone here can help because I've had three mechanics look at this and none of them found anything. My 2016 Infiniti Q50 has developed this really unsettling loose feeling in the steering at highway speeds. It's not pulling, but it feels like there's a dead spot in the center and the car wanders slightly, requiring constant small corrections. I've checked the tire pressures, had the alignment done twice, replaced the front tie rod ends, and even had the steering rack inspected. Nothing. A friend who works on Nissans suggested that the front shock absorbers might be so worn that they're allowing the front wheels to wobble slightly over small pavement imperfections, which translates to steering vagueness. I found a shop that does efficient Infiniti repair by 800Sayara Sharjah and they mentioned that the Q50's digital steering is very sensitive to worn suspension components, especially shocks. Has anyone here had that loose highway steering feel on their Q50 or Q60 and fixed it with new front shocks? I'm at a loss and I don't want to keep throwing money at guesses. Any real experiences would be so helpful. Thanks.
